Ropar:  As ground-water and soil erosion problems continue, the IIT Ropar has decided to set up a special farm of 2.5 acres to conduct on field studies in an objective manner.  The only IIT in Punjab has acquired specialist equipment to study the Satul-Doab region to especially analyse decreasing groundwater levels and suggest remedial measures.
