Nemesis catches up, even though after two decades. Judge Jagdeep Singh of the CBI Special Court in Panchkula, Haryana, with a no-nonsense reputation, has put to nought the patronisation of the political machinery of the Indian state which has been sponsoring and supporting such pseudo-cults, has held the Dera Sauda Sirsa chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim guilty of rape and sexual assault of a female follower 15 years ago. Travelling from Sirsa to Panchkula in a 200-car convoy, the pseudo saint has been taken into custody by the Indian army and has been flown to Rohtak jail in a helicopter.
