In an inebriated state, four law students, one of whom is a son of the local politician and Bar Council chief of Hisar, beat up a Sikh family outside a restaurant. To add insult to injury, attempt to murder charges are framed against the Sikh family including a pregnant woman. Bowing to Sikh outrage, the police station officer is transferred, it is unclear whether the trumped-up charges have been dropped but a fresh FIR has been filed against the boys. Instead of arresting them, the police constitutes an SIT to investigate while the family recovers from serious injuries in a hospital.
